Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan, an admirer of the great 18th century English textile artist Ana Maria Garthwaite. The colors are inspired by early 20th century English botanical paintings. Wedgewood blue, violet, butter-yellow and garnet flowers branch out to make a trellis on a pale yellow ground.
Made with fine quality wool yarns this hand made needlepoint rug has many subtle color shades similar to antique rugs.
Also available as an Aubusson rug and as a cut and loop pile Oriental rug.
Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets since Asmara never uses chemical washes.
