Dauphine is inspired by a 19th century French Aubusson rug. A pale cream inner field is separated by a curving frame of gold scrolls from a sea-green outer field which is enclosed within a gray-green border surrounded by gold laurel leaf band and a dark gray-green outer band. Cream cartouches adorn the four corners and four mid-points of the borders. A floral arrangement at the center of the rug is enclosed within a diamond shaped arrangement of flowers, scrolls and four aqua cartouches at the nodes. Rose, pink, blue, lilac and red flowers are arranged in wreaths and sprays across the rug.
Handmade with ancient French dyeing and weaving methods, this rug has thousands of subtle color shades which make it work with many fabrics.
Green manufacturing methods and no chemical washing make this rug safe for children and pets.
Use a non-skid rug pad to hold the rug securely in place and make a room feel warmer in winter, cooler in summer and quieter.
