Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan, an admirer of Ana Maria Garthwaite, the great 18th century English textile artist. wedgewood, cornflower blue and brick red flowers with taupe-brown branches are scattered on a cream, gold and oatmeal ground, shaded in the manner of a Pompeian fresco.
Using ancient French dyeing methods, thousands of subtle color shades give this hand made needlepoint rug a look reminiscent of the frescoes of Pompeii.
Also available in cut and loop pile.
Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.
