Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan inspired by an Italian painted ceiling and ceiling decorations in Mark Twain’s Connecticut house. Autumn branches, laden with gold and sage leaves, stretch across a cream ground from a burgundy toned geometric border.
Combining ancient Savonnerie dyeing and weaving methods with a loop weave invented by Asmara, this cut and loop pile rug has subtle shade and texture variations reminiscent of the best antique rugs.

Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
