Auvergne is inspired by romantic 19th century French Aubusson rugs. A cream inner field is edged by undulating ropes and acanthus scrolls which lead to a blue border containing cream floral wreaths and an outer band of laurel leaves. Large floral arrangements in rose, red, gold, orange, blue, teal and sage with tassels reach out from the four corners of the border towards the center where a rosette of red and beige acanthus leaves nestles between olive branches.
Handmade with ancient French dyeing and weaving methods, this rug has thousands of subtle color shades which make it work with many fabrics.
Green manufacturing methods and no chemical washing make this rug safe for children and pets.
Use a non-skid rug pad to hold the rug securely in place and make a room feel warmer in winter, cooler in summer and quieter.
