Bourges is inspired by 19th-century French Aubusson carpets. A red field with a trellis is edged with floral wreaths in cream and yellow green and contains a central medallion composed of four bouquets arranged around a gold and beige medallion of acanthus leaves. A blue inner border band with rounded corners and rounded midpoints provides a pop of color. The wide main border contains pale green panels with Della Robbia floral wreaths in rose, lilac, red, cream, blue and yellow-green. Cream cartouches in four corners contain large beige and gold urns containing overflowing floral arrangements.
Handmade with ancient French dyeing and weaving methods, this rug has thousands of subtle color shades which make it go with many fabrics.
Green manufacturing methods and no chemical washing make this rug safe for children and pets.
