Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan inspired by the remarkable similarity between geometric motifs in a 17th century Spanish Renaissance carpet and designs in the Book of Kells. A greenish stone ground is inlaid with a subtle yellow geometric pattern.
Made with fine quality hand spun wool yarns, this hand made pile rug has natural variations in colors and texture similar to antique rugs.
Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Unlike most other rug makers, Asmara never uses chemical washes.
