Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan inspired by a 14th century Tuscan villa.
Yellow-green leaves and flowers, in shades of garnet, red, yellow, gold and orange adorn brown branches which grow from the borders and spread out on a cream background.
Made with ancient French Aubusson dyeing and weaving methods, this hand woven Aubusson flat weave rug has thousands of subtle color shades, similar to antique Aubusson rugs.
Also available needlepoint and loop and pile, as shown at right.
Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Unlike most other rug makers, Asmara never uses chemical washes.
Use with a pad.
